La Palue is located on the Crozon Peninsula, between Brest and Quimper. It features a long coastline of about 2 km, open to every swell. Surfing in La Palue is quite good. However, as it is well-known and accessible, it can get crowded. If that happens, you can head to other nearby spots, such as Plage de Kerloc’h, which offers more of a beginner wave and is a great longboard spot.

Surf Spot La Palue: Features and Surroundings

La Palue is one of the best-known surf spots on the Ile de Crozon. It is an ideal destination for surfers of all levels. The beach-break waves offer both left- and right-hand rides. With a sandy ocean floor and strong, energetic waves, La Palue often has surfable waves, although unfavorable wind (anything other than east or no wind) can be an issue.

The Crozon Peninsula itself is beautiful, with small villages, bays, rock formations, and hills. You can also find several other good surf spots here, such as Plage de Kerloc’h (for longboarders), Plage de Lostmarc’h, and Plage de Goulien.
